About Us
Founded by our late mother with a heart for care, SOS Care has grown into a family-run NDIS provider led by sisters Tara and Amy. We're proud to carry forward her legacy with warmth, integrity, and personalised support.
Well our mission
SOS Care was founded by my mum and stepdad, both veterans who dedicated their lives to serving others. “SOS” stands for servicing our society. What began as a humble effort delivering Meals on Wheels quickly grew into a full disability support service. Their love for helping people and giving back to the community was the heart of SOS Care. In 2019, my mum was diagnosed with cancer. Despite her illness, she continued to work tirelessly, touching the lives of countless families with her kindness and strength. She was the soul of our service and a beloved part of the community until she sadly lost her battle in July 2024. Today, my sister Amy and I proudly carry the torch. Our mission is to honour our mum’s legacy by continuing to provide genuine, person-centred support. At SOS Care, we’re committed to offering a gold-class service—not by growing massive, but by staying intentional. We choose to work with a limited number of clients so that every individual is treated like a person, not a number. We want each person and their family to feel seen, supported, and genuinely cared for. Our core values remain:
Transparency
Excellence
Sustainability
Customer focus
We invest in continuous training
We also believe in continuous learning and always improving—because the people we support deserve nothing less.
NDIS Compliance
Our support workers are trained to deliver services that align with all NDIS guidelines.
Trauma-Informed Care
We prioritise understanding, choice, and safety in every interaction.
Cultural Awareness
We support clients of all backgrounds, respecting diversity and individuality.
